2021, banner designs with youth groups for Cop26
If Trees Could talk
As COP26 approached Glasgow this project engaged youth groups in the south of the city in thinking about climate change through the stories of significant trees within their community and the history of the Pollok Free State anti-motorway occupation of Pollok Park in the 90’s.
Through creative workshops involving walks, drawing, printmaking, cyanotype printing and natural dyeing the work and words of each group were brought together in the creation of banners. The banners were exhibited at The GalGael Trust during Cop26 conference.
Project worked with youth groups at the Village Storytelling Centre and Turf Youth Project, funded by The Wheatley Foundation (Youth Arts fund).
Delivered in collaboration with artists/designers Sarah Diver and Daniele Sambo. 2021.
